Around the Creative World (Post-Comic-Con Edition)
Now that it’s not a trendy thing to do, I’m enjoying some Michael Jackson as I bring you this list of creative links, post-Comic-Con. Some will be related to the three day comic book-ish extravaganza, some won’t. You gotta problem with that?
Since I’m writing this while listening to Michael Jackson’s “Why You Wanna Trip on Me,” I’m assuming they would be best read while doing the same. So please turn on that song while you read these. If you don’t have that song, here’s the Youtube video:
Now to the links…
- Here’s a blanket article from Daily Variety regarding Comic-Con. Audiences were wowed.
- You guys ready for a King Kong prequel…? Why are you laughing? I’m serious.
- Matter of fact, here is Daily Variety‘s entire Comic-Con section.
- In a definitely not Comic-Con-related story, beer sales fell during a key 4th of July weekend. (Maybe it’s because people were actually happy that weekend and they’d been drinking the rest of the time to get over their financial woes? Just a theory.)
- Now you can have you own Entourage-themed bungalow at the W. Hotel in South Beach. I’m in. I forgot my wallet though. Can you spot me?
- This story actually makes me kind of sick, but I’m posting it to see if you agree: Michael Jackson’s Hair Used for Jewelery
- Ben Silverman is out at NBCU and is taking over a new company. Interesting.
- Burger King has relaunched a new version of BK.com. You pumped? I know it’s your homepage.
- Here is a pro-tap water campaign that makes blatant lies about bottled water. In my opinion, these shirts would be funnier if they weren’t created by an ad agency in an attempt to sell you on tap water…because they don’t work for me.
- Jake Gyllenhaal: The most Persian man in Hollywood.
- Martha Stewart says Twitter is better than Facebook. Crap. Looks like FB is done for.
- Here’s some video from one YouTuber’s take on Comic-Con.
You are welcome. Have a great week.
Brian Laesch reminds you to now turn off the Michael Jackson “Why You Wanna Trip On Me” loop you were playing.
